Recursion (Build 2.2.25)

Your eyes open, the image flickers into view:  a man, looking over your body. 

"Ah", he says "....you're back".

You try to remember the moments  prior to this  one. You fail. 

However, you recognize the emblem on this persons attire.  Seeing it sends electricity to fire all throughout your brain. The man turns from you  and fiddles with a nearby console. 

"Backup restore complete..." he mutters to himself, 

"new hardware is..." he glances back to you "mostly intact."

You look down at your body - it is a patchwork of metal and wiring. You open and close your hands, the 'fingers'  smoothly gliding and constricting.     

You sit up and take in your surroundings - a ruined garage repurposed into a laboratory. Vines creep up the sides and strangle the lights above; grasses and weeds protrude through cracks in the cement floor.  

The man returns to you and hands you a weapon, then nods towards the door:

"Into the city. Get it right this time. For all of us."

You are his creation. You are his last resort of righting his wrongs.

'Recursion' is a First-Person Shooter / Roguelite in which you play as the creation of an engineer waging war against a company  responsible for  unleashing a rogue, malicious AI that overran the city.  

You will start with a 'base' type of weapon, and have the opportunity to merge it with another 'base'  type. Create combinations of weapons and evolve into a deadly force for good. 

  

(Inputs are intended for Mouse & Keyboard, however controller inputs are listed in the instructions too but are untested. )

(This is not clean but more so where I put my thoughts on things to develop).

Known bugs:

• Rare, but fatal bug on map load - random error with EncouterManager.
• Swapping "Armed" Weapon Animation States (Sword to 1-handed gun to 2-handed, etc) when picking up a new weapon will some times not register until the player clicks LMB and/or Reload.
